When God forgives He forgets!

January 15, 2014

Is my heart glad or sad? To the person who has received forgiveness for their bad behaviour, its glad, to the person who has not, its sad. The awesome thing about receiving forgiveness from Father God is that when He forgives, He forgets.

Ps.103:11-13; For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us

Isa. 1:18;“Come now, let us settle the matter,”
says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool.

Isa. 38:17; Surely it was for my benefit
that I suffered such anguish.
In your love you kept me
from the pit of destruction;
you have put all my sins
behind your back.

Isa. 43:25; “I, even I, am he who blots out
your transgressions, for my own sake,
and remembers your sins no more.

Isa. 44:22;I have swept away your offenses like a cloud,
your sins like the morning mist.
Return to me,
for I have redeemed you.”

Micah 7:19 You will again have compassion on us;
you will tread our sins underfoot
and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.

So I go into today with a glad heart!

What do we focus on?

January 3, 2014

Do we see the dark clouds or the bright sky behind them? Do we see the good in a person or the bad? Do we see our failures or His Mercy? Are we paralysed by death or celebrate life? The question is what we choose to focus on. Our eyes and ears are in many ways are the gate keepers to our emotions. Often nothing external has happened or changed but we have adjusted our hearts or our focus and a new perspective brings a different emotion or approach. Why are we so complicated!!!

Psalm 119 says “Your Word is a lamp to my feet”. I see a tendency in my humanity to focus on self. When I read the scriptures, when I allow “truth” to permeate my mind, my focus shifts to “Our Father, who are in heaven……… “
