During the last 6 weeks our dear friend Jean has been battling with Cancer and last week she went to be with our LORD. Kathy received a phone call from our pastor asking her to come over. As I was taking her to the airport on Sunday he comments were, “this is surreal”, a mixture of sadness and joy to be heading to her home to Brisabne.
Via a livestreaming web site I was able to watch the funeral at our church during the early hours of yesterday morning.
She will be out there for 3 weeks spending time with family and friends.

What a hoot to meet up with Mike from Canada and Steve from Malaysia for a round of golf in Cardiff, Wales.
Steve had an excuse for his excellent golfing. After working 24/7 for many years he is enjoying a year at a slower pace. Mike on the other hand has enjoyed a slower pace for many years and has thus been able to perfect his golf! We wont mention my golf! The three of us worked on the Doulos in 1979 and then on Logos some time later.

Well I never thought one of my kids would end up getting SP onboard. Due to so many youngsters in one place, out of their natural enviroment and with the fact that they committed to give one or two years of focused time to serve, there is a practice that says “no dating for the first year of being on the Logos Hope” .
Fitz is from Perth, Australia, which is no surprise to Kathy and I as our kids view of the world is so big after all the years travelling. We often wonder where they will all end up.

Kathy left Australia 25 years ago this last week and got on a plane heading for Europe and OM. Little did she know that all these years later she would be sitting in England. The Logos Hope was in Cardiff so we enjoyed a stroll along the bay celebrating God’s goodness. She was hoping to go home to celebrate and due to the death of a very close friend she is heading out tomorrow to Brisbane. Bizzare how things work out, 25 years later heading home on a plane.
